Library of the Institute of Balkan Studies

The Library of the Institute of Balkan Studies has over 24,000 volumes: books, periodicals, and reference literature. This is the largest Balkan studies library in Bulgaria. Among its acquisitions are the private libraries of distinguished Bulgarian scholars such as Prof. Petar Mutafchiev, Prof. Petar Nikov, Prof. Pirin Boyadzhiev, and Acad. Nikolay Todorov.

The books acquired after 2002 can also be found in the on-line catalog of the Central Library of the BAS here: www.cl.bas.bg
Books that are at the Institute library can also be used for interlibrary book exchange.

Monday  Thursday: 10:00 – 16:30
Friday: 13:00 – 16:30 (The Library is open only to Institute staff)

Library of the Centre of Thracology

The Library of the Centre of Tracology is located at 13 Moskovska Street.
