On September 14 and 15, 2021, the Institute of Balkan Studies & Centre of Thracology at the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences (IBSCT-BAS) will organize the fourth Thracian Readings "Ancient Thrace and the Thracians: Said and Silenced", dedicated to Prof. Alexander Fol. The event is traditionally connected with the date May 15, since the Institute of Thracology was established as an independent scientific unit of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences, founded by Order № 185 of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Bulgaria dated 12.05.1972 with founding director Prof. Alexander Fol. Due to the epidemic situation in the country this year, it was postponed to September, however the dates were symbolically preserved.

Twenty scholars affiliated with the most distinguished institutions - the IBSCT-BAS, Sofia University St. Kliment Ohridski, South-West University Neofit Rilski - Blagoevgrad, New Bulgarian University, Plovdiv University Paisii Hilendarski, National History Museum, and other museums in the country will present various aspects of research in the field of Thracology. Fol "Thracian culture: Said and silenced", and has undergone a number of editions. In this book the author showed many challenges to his readers, entering the field of history of the philosophy of culture. On July 13, 2021 in the Regional Historical Museum - Sofia the premiere of the book "Unity makes strength. Bulgarian bearers of Belgian national orders in the 21st century" (Tendril Publishing House) took place. Its author is Prof. Alexandre Kostov, Dr. habil., Corresponding Member of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences. The event was organized by the Embassy of the Kingdom of Belgium and was attended by representatives of the Bulgarian Foreign Ministry and other institutions, foreign diplomats, scholars and public figures. H.E. Frédéric Meurice, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Belgium to Bulgaria, greeted those present.
The bilingual Bulgarian-English edition is dedicated to the activities and contribution of prominent Bulgarian politicians, scholars and businesspeople to the development of bilateral relations between Bulgaria and Belgium over the past twenty years. The main attention is paid to the role of the human factor in them and, in particular, to the recognition received through the awarding of national orders. In the eventful and personal history of the relations between the two countries, the awarding of prominent figures with high state awards is quite common. The book presents the individual efforts of each of the awarded Bulgarians, as part of the joint efforts to strengthen the common European home through the development of relations between Bulgaria and Belgium.
